Hyundai is set to unveil the facelifted Alcazar on September 9, 2024. This three-row SUV will receive significant updates to its exterior and interior, while retaining the core mechanicals.
Design Refresh
The Alcazar facelift will feature a revamped front fascia with a new grille, redesigned headlights, and a revised front bumper. The side profile remains largely unchanged, except for new alloy wheel designs. At the rear, a redesigned tailgate with new tail lights adds a fresh look to the SUV.
Interior Upgrades
The interior of the Alcazar facelift is expected to be heavily influenced by the recently updated Creta. The highlight will be the twin 10.25-inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. Expect a more premium cabin with soft-touch materials and advanced features.
Powertrain Options
The facelifted Alcazar is likely to retain the same powertrain options as the current model:
- 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine: Producing 160hp and 253Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
- 1.5-liter diesel engine: Generating 116hp and 250Nm of torque, available with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
Launch and Competition
The Alcazar facelift is expected to be launched in India in mid-September 2024, with deliveries commencing shortly after. It will continue to rival the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector Plus in the three-row SUV segment.
Pricing
The facelifted Alcazar is likely to be priced slightly higher than the current model, which ranges from Rs 16.78 lakh to Rs 21.28 lakh (ex-showroom). With its refreshed design, upgraded features, and competitive pricing, the Hyundai Alcazar facelift aims to strengthen its position in the growing three-row SUV segment.
