Tata Motors to Launch Altroz CNG with Automatic Transmission

Tata Motors is set to enhance its Altroz lineup by introducing an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) option for the CNG variant in the coming months. This move follows the recent launch of the Altroz facelift, which already offers an AMT with the petrol engine.

🔧 Altroz CNG AMT: What to Expect

• Shared Powertrain: The Altroz CNG AMT is expected to utilize the same 1.2-litre engine found in the Tiago and Tigor CNG models, delivering approximately 73hp and 95Nm of torque.
• Dual CNG Cylinder Setup: It will likely feature the dual CNG cylinder configuration, similar to the pre-facelift Altroz. 

🎯 Target Audience

• First-Time Buyers: With nearly 70% of Altroz buyers being first-time car owners, the introduction of an AMT option in the CNG variant aims to cater to this demographic by offering a cost-effective automatic driving experience. 
• Automatic Variant Demand: Approximately 25% of Altroz sales are from automatic variants, indicating a significant market for such options.
