2025 Skoda Kodiaq India launch in April

The second-generation Skoda Kodiaq is set to launch in India in April 2025, following its debut at the Auto Expo earlier this year. Skoda Auto India has confirmed that the new Kodiaq will be available in two trims: Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K).
Trim Details:
- Sportline: This variant is expected to feature blacked-out exterior elements, including the grille, ORVMs, and D-pillars, along with distinct alloy wheels. The interior will likely continue the dark theme with black upholstery and accents.
- Laurin & Klement (L&K): Showcased at the Auto Expo 2025, the L&K trim is anticipated to offer chrome highlights and a more luxurious interior ambiance.
While both trims will share core features, specific equipment differences are expected, with detailed information to be provided by Skoda closer to the launch date.
Powertrain:
The new Kodiaq will retain the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine from its predecessor, delivering 190hp and 320Nm of torque. This engine will be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, providing power to all four wheels.
Upcoming Kodiaq RS:
In addition to the Sportline and L&K trims, Skoda plans to introduce the high-performance Kodiaq RS in India by the end of 2025. This model will feature a more potent 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing 265hp and 400Nm of torque. The Kodiaq RS will also come with larger brakes and sportier design elements, both externally and internally.
The Kodiaq RS is expected to be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), distinguishing it from the other locally assembled variants.
With its blend of performance, luxury, and versatility, the new Skoda Kodiaq aims to strengthen its position in the Indian SUV market upon its launch.
