2025 Skoda Kodiaq price announcement on 17 April

Skoda Auto India is set to announce the prices for the second-generation Kodiaq SUV on April 17, 2025. This updated model will be available in two distinct trims: Laurin & Klement (L&K) and Sportline.
Exterior Design
The new Kodiaq exhibits an evolutionary design, retaining the split headlamp configuration with updated LED daytime running lights. The front grille now features illuminated elements, and the C-shaped tail lamps are connected by a light bar spanning the tailgate’s width. Standard 18-inch wheels complement the SUV’s stance.
Differentiating the trims, the Sportline variant adopts a blacked-out aesthetic for elements like the grille, D-pillar garnish, and rear bumper, contrasting with the silver accents on the L&K trim. Additionally, the Sportline boasts a sportier alloy wheel design.
Interior and Features
Inside, the Kodiaq showcases a winged dashboard design centered around a 13-inch free-floating touchscreen infotainment system. It also includes a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a new two-spoke steering wheel adorned with ‘Skoda’ lettering, and three rotary dials for HVAC controls, which are configurable for other function.
The L&K trim offers Cognac leather upholstery, while the Sportline features sportier black interiors. Both variants come equipped with features such as three-zone climate control, powered front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, park assist, and heated/ventilated front seats with massage functions in the L&K trim.
Powertrain
Under the hood, the Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI turbo-petrol engine producing 204hp. This engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, delivering power to all four wheels.
Market Positioning
The new Kodiaq is expected to be priced slightly higher than the outgoing model, which starts at ₹39.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Its competitors in the Indian market include the Volkswagen Tiguan, Jeep Meridian, Hyundai Tucson, MG Gloster, and Toyota Fortuner.
These updates aim to enhance the Kodiaq’s appeal in the premium SUV segment by offering a blend of luxury, performance, and advanced features.
