Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e Debut in India
Mahindra has unveiled the highly anticipated XEV 9e and BE 6e, marking the debut of its XEV and BE sub-brands. The base variant of the BE 6e with a 59 kWh battery pack is priced at ₹18.90 lakh, while the base XEV 9e with the same battery is priced at ₹21.90 lakh (introductory ex-showroom, pan-India). These EVs boast innovative features and powertrain options capable of rivaling premium EVs like the Mercedes-Benz EQA and BMW iX1.

Exterior Design
Mahindra XEV 9e
The XEV 9e features an upright bonnet with Mahindra’s illuminated “Infinity” logo. Its connected LED DRL setup extends to the vertically stacked LED projector headlights. The grille is blanked off, as is common with EVs, and the black lower bumper integrates LED fog lamps and an air inlet.
The SUV-coupe design includes a sloping roofline, flush door handles, body-colored ORVMs, and black cladding along the B- and C-pillars. Dual-tone alloy wheels add a sporty touch, while at the rear, a connected inverted U-shaped LED tail light design echoes the front DRLs. The tailgate also sports an illuminated Infinity logo, with the black bumper featuring a chrome applique.

Mahindra BE 6e
The BE 6e opts for a more angular bonnet with sharp cuts and an illuminated BE logo. The horizontally stacked LED projector headlights are complemented by C-shaped DRLs, while the black lower bumper includes LED fog lamps and a silver skid plate.
The BE 6e differentiates itself with flush door handles on the front doors and integrated rear door handles on the C-pillar. The flared wheel arches and black-shaded ORVMs and pillars add a distinctive flair. The tail lights mimic the DRLs’ C-shape and are disconnected, while the illuminated BE logo adorns the tailgate.
Interior Highlights
Both EVs share a minimalist interior design featuring a 2-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logos (Infinity for XEV 9e, BE for BE 6e). The layered dashboard integrates dials for driving modes, gear shifters, and wireless charging. The BE 6e includes dual wireless phone chargers.
The XEV 9e sports three 12.3-inch screens (driver display, touchscreen, and passenger display), while the BE 6e comes with dual screens.
