New Jeep Wrangler Willys ’41 Edition Debuts at ₹73.16 Lakh – Sold Out Already

Jeep Unveils Limited Wrangler Willys ‘41 Edition in India at ₹73.16 Lakh
Jeep India has rolled out a special edition of its iconic off-roader—the Wrangler Willys ’41 Edition—priced at ₹73.16 lakh (ex-showroom). This version celebrates the legacy of the original 1941 Willys Jeep, the rugged military vehicle that started it all. Only 30 units have been made available in India, and unsurprisingly, they’ve all been snapped up already.
A Tribute Wrapped in Military Green
This limited-run model is based on the high-end Wrangler Rubicon, but comes with several exclusive touches that set it apart. The most striking of these is its Sarge Green exterior, a throwback to the original army Jeeps. You’ll also spot a bold ‘1941’ decal on the hood, serving as a direct nod to its heritage.
Jeep has also included a set of functional upgrades:
- Power-operated side steps make it easier to hop in and out.
- Dash cameras are fitted at both the front and rear.
- Grab handles and rugged floor mats add to its tough, go-anywhere character.
Buyers also had the option to add a Jeep Adventure Pack, priced at ₹4.56 lakh, which came with:
- A Sunrider flip-up roof
- A roof carrier system featuring a handy side ladder for extra utility.
Powerful and Off-Road Ready
Under the hood, the Willys ‘41 Edition packs the same performance as the Rubicon. It’s powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that puts out 270hp and 400Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
What makes it truly shine off the road are features like:
- Full-time 4×4 system
- Tru-Lok locking differentials
- Electronic sway bar disconnect
- Off-Road+ driving mode
- 237mm ground clearance
These additions make it just as capable on mountain trails as it is on city streets.
Premium Cabin Meets Tech-Savvy Features
Step inside, and the Wrangler Willys ’41 Edition feels every bit modern. It gets a large 12.3-inch touchscreen running Jeep’s latest Uconnect 5 system, with support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Other highlights include:
- A 7-inch digital instrument cluster
- Wireless phone charging
- A 9-speaker Alpine sound system
- 12-way power-adjustable front seats
- Dual-zone climate control
On top of that, Jeep has packed in advanced driver-assist features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and forward collision warning to boost safety.
Already Sold Out
Jeep fans didn’t waste any time. All 30 units of the Willys ’41 Edition were booked shortly after launch, showing that this nostalgic, trail-ready version hit the mark with collectors and enthusiasts alike.
