Tata Harrier EV Launched in India, Starts at ₹21.49 Lakh

Tata Motors has officially launched its much-awaited Harrier EV, priced from ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s the company’s boldest electric SUV yet, combining rugged looks, powerful performance, and an impressive list of features—while keeping it relatively accessible for a premium EV.

📅 Bookings & Deliveries

Bookings for the Harrier EV open on July 2, 2025, and deliveries are expected to begin soon after. Tata is clearly aiming to ride the wave of growing EV demand with this high-impact launch.

🔋 Battery Options & Range

The Harrier EV will be available with two battery pack options:

  • 65kWh pack, and
  • larger 75kWh version.

Tata claims a driving range of up to 627 km on a single charge, making it ideal for both city drives and weekend road trips. The SUV also supports fast charging, with 0-80% charge possible in just 25 minutes using a 120kW DC charger.

⚙️ Performance That Excites

The Harrier EV isn’t just about going green—it’s quick and capable too. With 390hp and 504Nm of torque, it can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds. It’s available in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants, giving buyers the flexibility to choose what suits their driving style best.

Tata even demonstrated its off-road capabilities by driving it up Kerala’s famous “Elephant Rock”—proof that this EV can do more than just city commutes.

💡 Loaded With Features

Step inside, and the Harrier EV feels plush and futuristic. It comes with:

  • A sharp 14.5-inch QLED touchscreen,
  • Multi-color ambient lighting,
  • panoramic sunroof, and
  • A clever 540° camera system to make parking and navigating tight spots easier.

Built on Tata’s new Acti.ev+ platform, the Harrier EV supports features like vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging—meaning you can use your car to power other devices or even help charge another EV.

🛡️ Safety First

Tata has packed the Harrier EV with Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), which includes features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot detection. There are multiple airbags and a 360-degree camera setup as well, adding to the safety package.

✅ Why the Harrier EV Stands Out

With its mix of long-range capability, bold design, power-packed performance, and modern tech, the Harrier EV isn’t just another electric SUV—it’s Tata’s statement that EVs can be just as thrilling, practical, and premium as their petrol or diesel counterparts.
