2025 Audi RS Q8 Performance Launched In India
Audi India has officially launched the 2025 Audi RS Q8 Performance, marking its most powerful SUV to date. Priced at Rs 2.49 crore (ex-showroom, India), this high-performance vehicle combines enhanced power, refined aerodynamics, and a bold design.
Exterior Design
The RS Q8 Performance features an aggressive front fascia with an RS-specific honeycomb grille in a blacked-out finish. Redesigned Matrix LED headlamps with laser light technology improve nighttime visibility. Larger air intakes, a sculpted bumper, and an aerodynamically enhanced splitter contribute to its assertive appearance.
From the side, the SUV showcases a coupe-like roofline, flared wheel arches, and standard 22-inch alloy wheels, with an option for 23-inch forged wheels. Blacked-out ORVMs and sporty side skirts enhance its dynamic stance. The rear is equipped with oval-shaped dual exhaust tips, a sporty diffuser, and a sleek LED light bar spanning the vehicle’s width. An optional carbon fibre package replaces exterior trim elements with lightweight carbon fibre for added sportiness.
Interior Features
Inside, the RS Q8 Performance offers a blend of luxury and sportiness. RS-specific sports seats are upholstered in premium Valcona leather, providing excellent support for dynamic driving. Contrast stitching and embossed RS logos on the seats and dashboard add exclusivity. The cabin includes an Alcantara-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, carbon fibre inlays, and red accents, emphasizing its performance heritage.
Audi’s Virtual Cockpit Plus is standard, featuring an RS-specific digital instrument cluster that displays performance metrics such as lap timers, G-force meters, and boost pressure gauges. The dual touchscreen MMI infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Audi Connect services. Additional features include a Bang & Olufsen 3D Sound System, Heads-Up Display (HUD) with RS-specific information, four-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, wireless charging, and multiple USB-C ports.
Powertrain and Performance
The RS Q8 Performance is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, delivering 640 PS and 850 Nm of peak torque, making it Audi’s most powerful RS SUV. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.6 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than its predecessor. The standard top speed is 250 kmph, which can be increased to 305 kmph with the optional RS Dynamic Package Plus.
Power is transmitted to all four wheels through Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox. The RS Adaptive Air Suspension dynamically adjusts ride height for improved aerodynamics and stability. The RS sports differential enhances agility by distributing power between the rear wheels, improving cornering dynamics.
