Bajaj Launches New Chetak 3001 Electric Scooter at ₹99,990

Bajaj Auto has expanded its electric scooter lineup with the launch of the Chetak 3001, priced at ₹99,990 (ex-showroom). Positioned as the most affordable variant in the Chetak range, this new model aims to make electric mobility even more accessible for urban commuters.

Practical Performance for Everyday Use

The new Chetak 3001 is powered by a 3.0 kWh battery pack, neatly integrated into the floorboard. Bajaj claims a real-world range of 127 km on a full charge, offering a small but useful improvement over the earlier model. The scooter’s top speed remains at 63 km/h, which is well-suited for daily city riding.

Charging the Chetak 3001 is fairly convenient too, thanks to its 750W charger, which takes about 3 hours and 50 minutes to reach 80% charge — ideal for overnight charging at home.

Built to Last with Premium Touches

Just like its more expensive siblings, the Chetak 3001 retains its signature all-metal body, giving it a solid and premium feel that’s rare among electric scooters. It also carries an IP67 rating, offering strong protection against dust and water — a big plus for riders in India’s unpredictable weather.

For riders seeking extra tech, Bajaj offers an optional TecPac add-on, which unlocks features like hill-hold assist, reverse mode, music and call controls, guide-me-home lighting, and auto-flashing rear lights for added safety and convenience.

The scooter also offers a generous 35-litre under-seat storage area — plenty of space for carrying daily essentials.

Competitive Pricing and Availability

With the Chetak 3001, Bajaj has slightly undercut the previous 2903 model, making it even more affordable. Bookings for the new variant have already begun, with deliveries scheduled to start by the end of June 2025.

Strengthening Bajaj’s Electric Ambitions

The launch of the Chetak 3001 shows Bajaj’s continued push into the electric scooter market, where competition is heating up with rivals like Ola, Ather, and TVS. With its reliable build, practical range, and attractive price, the Chetak 3001 strengthens Bajaj’s position as a serious contender in India’s fast-growing EV two-wheeler space.
