Maruti Grand Vitara gets New AWD AT variants

Maruti Suzuki has updated the Grand Vitara SUV for the 2025 model year, introducing new variants, enhanced features, and safety improvements. The starting price is now ₹11.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
New Variants and Powertrain Options
- Delta+ Strong Hybrid Variant: A new Delta+ trim has been introduced for the strong hybrid powertrain, reducing the entry price to ₹16.99 lakh. Previously, this powertrain was available only in the top-spec Zeta+ and Alpha+ trims, starting from ₹18.58 lakh.
- All-Wheel Drive (AWD) with Automatic Transmission: The 1.5-litre petrol AWD variant now features a 6-speed automatic transmission, replacing the earlier 5-speed manual gearbox.
Feature Enhancements
- Panoramic Sunroof: Now offered as an optional extra for ₹60,000 on the Zeta, Alpha, Zeta+, and Alpha+ trims. Previously, it was standard on these variants.
- Additional Comfort and Convenience Features:
- 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.
- Electronic parking brake for automatic variants.
- Air purifier with PM2.5 display.
- New LED cabin lamps.
- Rear window sunshades.
- Updated design for the 17-inch alloy wheels.
Safety Upgrades
- Six Airbags Standard: All variants now come equipped with six airbags. Previously, the base Sigma and Delta trims had only two airbags. Other standard safety features include:
- Electronic Stability Program (ESP).
- Hill hold assist.
- Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).
- Three-point seatbelts for all passengers.
- ISOFIX child seat mounts.
These updates aim to make the Grand Vitara more competitive in its segment by offering enhanced safety, comfort, and a wider range of options to potential buyers.
