Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara Unveiled At Auto Expo 2025

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled its first Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the e Vitara, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi. This marks a significant milestone for the company as it ventures into the electric vehicle market.
Platform and Performance
The e Vitara is built on the new HEARTECT-e platform, specifically designed for electric vehicles. Two battery options are available: a 49kWh pack delivering 144hp and a 61kWh pack producing 174hp. The larger battery variant offers an all-wheel-drive (AWD) option.

The vehicle is equipped with an integrated 25.65 cm (10.1-inch) digital display and a 26.04 cm (10.25-inch) multi-information display, offering comprehensive controls and information. Wireless connectivity and a premium sound system from ‘Infinity by Harman’ further enhance the in-car experience.
In terms of features, the e Vitara gets an electronic parking brake with auto hold, three drive modes (Eco, Normal and Sport), single-zone auto climate control, a wireless phone charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated front seats, a 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat, reclining and split (60:40) rear seats, 7 airbags and Level 2 ADAS.

Safety and Technology
Safety is a priority in the e Vitara, which includes seven airbags, Level 2 ADAS, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The Next-Gen Suzuki Connect offers over 60 advanced features, such as remote vehicle controls and real-time updates via a mobile application.
