Norton V4 superbike India launch expected this year

Norton V4 Superbike to Launch in India by Late 2025
TVS Motor Company has announced that the legendary British motorcycle brand Norton—which it acquired in 2020—will officially enter the Indian market by the end of 2025. This launch marks a major step for TVS in bringing premium, high-performance motorcycles to Indian riders.
High-End Debut: Norton V4 Series
The brand’s India debut will feature two high-performance models, likely from the Norton V4 lineup:
- V4 SV (fully faired superbike)
- V4 CR (café racer style)
Both bikes are equipped with a 1,200cc V4 engine, producing 185 horsepower at 12,000rpm and 125Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. They feature top-tier components such as:
- A handcrafted aluminum frame
- CNC-machined swingarm
- Premium Öhlins suspension setup
- Brembo braking system
These superbikes are designed to offer elite performance and exclusivity, competing in a segment above mainstream superbikes like Ducati’s offerings.
Price Expectations & Lower Duties via FTA
The V4 range is priced at over €42,000 in Europe, indicating that the Indian versions will also be quite expensive. However, thanks to the new India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA), import duties on British motorcycles may drop from over 100% to around 10%. This could significantly reduce the final cost for Indian buyers, making Norton bikes more accessible than before.
Exclusive Dealerships & Future Models
TVS plans to create a dedicated Norton dealership network in India. These showrooms will reflect the brand’s ethos of “Design, Dynamism, and Detail”, offering a distinctive premium retail experience.
Beyond the flagship models, Norton—under TVS—has long-term plans to:
- Develop locally manufactured bikes in the 350-450cc and 600-650cc ranges
- Introduce six new models globally by 2027
This expansion aims to make Norton more competitive across various segments, both in India and internationally.
