Suzuki Avenis Standard Variant launched at Rs 91,400

Suzuki Launches Avenis Standard Variant at ₹91,400
Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced a new Standard version of its sporty 125cc scooter, the Avenis, at an ex-showroom price of ₹91,400 in Delhi. This new variant is compliant with the latest OBD-2B (On-Board Diagnostics) norms, which enhance emission regulation and environmental standards.
Engine and Performance
The Standard variant continues to use Suzuki’s trusted 124cc, single-cylinder engine. This engine produces a maximum power of 8.7 hp and a peak torque of 10 Nm. It is the same motor found in other Suzuki scooters like the Access 125 and Burgman Street 125. The engine is mated to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), offering a smooth and effortless riding experience.
Features and Technology
Even though it’s the most affordable version in the Avenis range, the Standard variant offers a solid feature set, including:
- LED Lighting: Comes with both LED headlamp and taillamp for improved visibility.
- Digital Instrument Console: Displays essential information such as time, engine temperature, trip meters, speed, and maintenance reminders.
- External Fuel Lid: Features a hinge-type external fuel cap for added convenience during refueling.
- Under-seat Storage: Offers a spacious 21.8-litre storage compartment under the seat.
- Utility Features: Includes a USB mobile charging socket, side-stand engine cut-off function, and a sporty muffler guard.
However, this base variant does not include Bluetooth connectivity or smart features such as turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts, which are available on the higher trims.
Design and Color Options
The Avenis Standard maintains the scooter’s sporty and dynamic styling. Key design elements include motorcycle-style rear indicators and a split-type grab rail, giving it a distinctive look. It is offered in four dual-tone color options:
- White with Black
- Red with Black
- Yellow with Black
- Glossy Black

Pricing and Market Positioning
At ₹91,400, the Standard variant is ₹1,800 cheaper than the next variant in the Avenis lineup. It targets buyers who are looking for a stylish, fuel-efficient scooter with essential features, without stretching their budget too much.
