Tata Harrier EV Bags 5-Star Bharat NCAP Rating – Built for Safety

Tata Harrier EV Scores Big on Safety with 5-Star Bharat NCAP Rating
Tata Motors has just added another feather to its cap—its all-electric Harrier EV has bagged a 5-star safety rating in the latest Bharat NCAP crash tests. That’s right, this electric SUV isn’t just about range and tech—it’s built like a tank when it comes to protecting its passengers.
Crash Test Results That Speak Volumes
The Harrier EV aced the tests with a perfect 32/32 score for adult occupant protection and an impressive 45/49 for child safety. These scores apply to all units manufactured after June 2025, including both RWD and AWD variantsequipped with the 75kWh battery pack.
In the frontal offset and side impact tests, the SUV offered “good” protection across the board—driver, passenger, and even child dummies were well shielded. The side pole test was rated “acceptable,” but still within the 5-star threshold.
Safety Tech That’s Got Your Back
The Harrier EV isn’t just relying on a tough shell. It’s loaded with safety features like:
- 6 to 7 airbags (depending on the variant)
- Level 2 ADAS with over 20 features including Adaptive Cruise Control and Emergency Braking
- Electronic Stability Control (ESC), ISOFIX mounts, and seatbelt reminders
- Acoustic Vehicle Alert System (AVAS) to warn pedestrians at low speeds
Why This Matters
With this rating, the Harrier EV joins Tata’s growing list of 5-star-rated vehicles, alongside the Nexon, Punch, and Safari. It’s a strong message to buyers that going electric doesn’t mean compromising on safety. In fact, it might just mean getting the best of both worlds—eco-conscious driving and peace of mind.
