Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line, Priced From Rs 49 Lakh!
Volkswagen has officially launched the Tiguan R-Line in India, marking the debut of this sporty variant in the country. Priced at ₹49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tiguan R-Line arrives as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), with deliveries set to commence from April 23, 2025 .
Design and Exterior
The Tiguan R-Line showcases a refreshed design language, featuring a sleek silhouette and modern styling elements. The front fascia is adorned with sleeker LED daytime running lights (DRLs) connected by a light bar, complemented by a blacked-out bumper and distinctive ‘R’ badging. Gloss black wheel arches and chrome window surrounds enhance its sporty appeal, while 19-inch alloy wheels and roof rails contribute to its robust stance. At the rear, connected LED tail lights with three vertical lighting elements arranged horizontally add a contemporary touch, accompanied by chrome accents on the bumper and the Volkswagen emblem .
Interior and Features
Inside, the Tiguan R-Line boasts an all-black cabin theme with silver inserts, exuding a premium and sporty ambiance. A prominent 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system dominates the dashboard, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The vehicle is equipped with a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, three-zone automatic climate control, massage function for the front seats, 30-color ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, and a panoramic sunroof. Safety features are comprehensive, including nine airbags, Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), ISOFIX child seat mounts, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), all four disc brakes, a tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic parking brake, and front and rear parking sensors .

Under the hood, the Tiguan R-Line is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 265 PS of power. This engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system, ensuring a dynamic driving experience.
