2025 Kawasaki Z900 To Launch In India Soon

Kawasaki Prepares to Launch Updated 2025 Z900 in India
Kawasaki is gearing up to release the 2025 version of its popular naked streetfighter, the Z900, in the Indian market. The upcoming model brings along a refreshed design, upgraded tech features, and a slightly higher price tag.
New Design and Styling Tweaks
The 2025 Z900 sports a sharper, more aggressive look. It now features a projector headlamp that’s flanked by sleek dual-LED daytime running lights, replacing the older setup. At the rear, the signature Z-style LED tail light has made way for a new W-shaped light cluster, giving it a fresh identity. The fuel tank has also been subtly redesigned, though it retains the muscular stance that defines the Z family.
Technology & Rider Aids
This version comes equipped with a TFT instrument cluster that now includes an inertial measurement unit (IMU), enabling advanced riding features. Riders will benefit from cornering ABS, cornering traction control, and cruise control—functions typically seen on more premium motorcycles. Four distinct riding modes can be selected based on riding conditions or preferences.
Smartphone connectivity has been improved as well. The dash now supports turn-by-turn navigation, along with call and SMS notifications, enhancing convenience for daily or touring use.
Performance & Variants
Under the hood, the Z900 still uses the robust 948cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine, now refined to meet tighter emission regulations. It churns out 124PS of power and 97.4Nm of torque, slightly lower than its predecessor due to stricter norms. A bi-directional quickshifter is now standard, working above 1,500rpm for smoother upshifts and downshifts.
The motorcycle will be offered in two variants:
- Standard
- Performance – which comes factory-fitted with Brembo braking components and an Ohlins rear monoshock, improving its handling and braking prowess.
Market Outlook and Price Expectation
Kawasaki’s Z900 has maintained a strong sales record in India, with 747 units sold between April 2024 and January 2025—comfortably ahead of rivals like the Triumph Street Triple 765, which sold just 296 units during the same period.
The 2025 Kawasaki Z900 is expected to be launched by April 2025, with an estimated starting price of ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks a modest hike over the outgoing version, which was priced at ₹9.38 lakh, reflecting the added features and updates.
