Honda CB1000F Concept Unveiled In Japan

Mar 22, 2025

Honda has introduced the CB1000F concept at the Osaka Motorcycle Show 2025, marking its entry into the retro roadster segment and positioning it as a direct competitor to the Kawasaki Z900RS.

Design & Aesthetics

The CB1000F embraces a vintage-inspired look, featuring a classic round headlamp, a sleek fuel tank, and a compact tail section. One of its standout elements is the chrome-finished four-into-one exhaust system, adding to its retro appeal.

Engine & Performance

The CB1000F is expected to share its mechanical setup with the recently launched CB1000 Hornet. It will likely be powered by a 1000cc liquid-cooled, inline-four engine that generates around 151.7PS of power and 100Nm of torque, ensuring strong performance.

Chassis & Suspension

The motorcycle is set to feature a 41mm Showa inverted fork at the front and a Showa monoshock at the rear with a pro-link swingarm. This setup is designed to offer a smoother ride by improving suspension performance and overall stability.

Braking & Wheels

Braking duties will likely be handled by twin 310mm discs at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. The CB1000F is expected to ride on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, contributing to its balanced handling dynamics.

Market Strategy

With the anticipated discontinuation of the CB1300, Honda aims to position the CB1000F as a modern yet retro-styled replacement, catering to riders who appreciate classic aesthetics paired with contemporary technology.

In summary, the Honda CB1000F concept blends vintage charm with modern engineering, setting itself up as a strong contender in the retro motorcycle segment.
