Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series Launched In India At Rs 4.2 Crore

Mercedes-Benz has introduced the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series in India, priced at ₹4.2 crore (ex-showroom). This model uniquely blends the sportiness of the SL roadster with Maybach’s signature luxury, marking a notable collaboration between the two esteemed marques.
Design and Exterior
The SL 680 Monogram Series maintains the sleek silhouette of the SL roadster, enhanced with distinctive Maybach design elements. It is available in two color options: Opalite White and Garnet Red. The front fascia features sleek LED headlights with eyebrow-like DRLs, complemented by a Maybach-specific grille and a premium bumper design. The hood showcases a contrasting black shade adorned with multiple Maybach logos and a prominently mounted tri-pointed star. The vehicle rides on 21-inch alloy wheels featuring the classic Maybach spoke design, and the soft-top roof bears the Maybach insignia. At the rear, LED taillights resemble those of the standard SL, but with added chrome accents on the exhaust tips and diffuser, along with Maybach lettering.
Interior and Features
Inside, the SL 680’s cabin mirrors the AMG model’s layout but incorporates bespoke Maybach detailing. The dashboard features Maybach-specific graphics, and a black and white color scheme exudes luxury. Intricately designed AC vents resemble aircraft turbines, and Maybach logos are embossed on the door panels. Key features include a vertically oriented 11.9-inch infotainment display, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, steering-mounted controls, powered seats with memory function, a premium audio system, and ambient lighting.
Performance
Under the hood, the SL 680 is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine delivering 585 PS and 800 Nm of torque. This power is transmitted to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 4 seconds.
Availability and Competition
Bookings for the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series are now open, with deliveries expected to commence in the first quarter of 2026. Only three units will be allotted for this year. In the Indian market, this model competes with luxury convertibles such as the Bentley Continental GT Convertible, Bentley Mulliner, Audi RS e-tron GT, and Lotus Emira.
The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series offers a unique blend of high-performance engineering and opulent luxury, catering to discerning customers seeking both driving excitement and comfort.
