Ultraviolette Tesseract Electric Scooter Crosses 50,000 Pre-Bookings

Mar 20, 2025

The Ultraviolette Tesseract, the inaugural electric scooter from the Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 50,000 pre-bookings. This achievement underscores the growing consumer interest in premium electric mobility solutions.

Pricing Structure and Availability

Initially, the Tesseract was introduced at an introductory price of ₹1,20,000 for the first 10,000 customers, which is ₹25,000 lower than its standard price. Subsequently, the price was set at ₹1,30,000 for the next 50,000 units. With pre-bookings now exceeding 50,000, this pricing remains valid for the next 10,000 units. All prices are ex-showroom.

Variants and Specifications

The Tesseract is available in three distinct variants:

  • Tesseract 3.5: Equipped with a 3.5kWh battery and a 10kW motor, offering a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) range of 162 km.
  • Tesseract 5: Features a 5kWh battery paired with a 15kW motor, providing a claimed IDC range of 220 km.
  • Tesseract 6: Boasts a 6kWh battery and a 15kW motor, delivering a claimed IDC range of 261 km.

All variants have a top speed of 125 km/h.

Advanced Features

Setting a new benchmark in the electric scooter segment, the Tesseract incorporates several innovative features:

  • Dual Dashcam Setup: Front and rear cameras integrated for enhanced safety and recording capabilities.
  • Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS): Utilizes onboard radars to provide collision warnings and assist in safe riding.
  • Haptic Handlebar Feedback: The handlebars vibrate to alert riders of potential collisions.
  • Smart Mirrors: Equipped with displays that provide lane change alerts and overtake warnings.

These features, particularly the ADAS and haptic feedback, are pioneering additions in the electric scooter market.

Production and Delivery Plans

Currently, Ultraviolette has an annual production capacity of 30,000 units, with plans to scale up to 100,000 units to meet the burgeoning demand. Deliveries of the Tesseract are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2026. Detailed specifications and variant-wise pricing will be announced in the last quarter of 2025.

Market Positioning

The Tesseract positions itself as a formidable competitor to other premium electric scooters, such as the Ola S1 Pro Plus and the Ather 450X, by offering advanced features and competitive pricing.

In summary, the Ultraviolette Tesseract’s impressive pre-booking numbers reflect a strong consumer appetite for advanced electric scooters. With its blend of cutting-edge features and strategic pricing, the Tesseract is poised to make a significant impact in the electric mobility landscape.
