Honda Hornet 2.0 Launched at Rs.1.57 Lakhs
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced the updated Honda Hornet 2.0, now compliant with the On-Board Diagnostics Stage 2B (OBD-2B) standards. Priced at ₹1,56,953 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the motorcycle is available across all HMSI Red Wing and BigWing dealerships nationwide.
Engine and Performance
The Hornet 2.0 is powered by a 184.40 cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, BS6 OBD-2B compliant PGM-FI engine. This engine delivers 16.76 bhp of power and 15.7 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox that now features an assist and slipper clutch, enhancing the riding experience by ensuring smoother gear shifts and preventing wheel hop during aggressive downshifts.
OBD-2B Compliance
With the integration of OBD-2B compliance, the Hornet 2.0’s engine is equipped with multiple sensors that continuously monitor components affecting emission performance. In case of any malfunction, a warning light illuminates on the instrument panel, alerting the rider to potential issues. This advancement aligns with the latest emission norms, ensuring the motorcycle is both eco-friendly and efficient.
Design and Features
The 2025 Hornet 2.0 boasts striking new graphics on its body panels, accentuating its aggressive and sporty design. The motorcycle features an all-LED lighting system, including the headlamp, tail lamp, and turn indicators, providing superior visibility and a modern aesthetic.
Built on a diamond-type frame, the Hornet 2.0 offers a robust and stable ride. The suspension setup includes upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock, ensuring a balanced and comfortable riding experience. Braking duties are handled by a 276 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc, both petal-type, complemented by single-channel ABS for enhanced safety.
Additional features include a fully digital instrument cluster with customizable brightness, a split seat for rider and pillion comfort, and a short muffler design that adds to its sporty appeal. The motorcycle rides on ten-spoke alloy wheels, further enhancing its dynamic stance.
