Hyundai Ioniq 6 facelift revealed, gets new N Line trim

Apr 8, 2025

Hyundai has unveiled the facelifted Ioniq 6 at the 2025 Seoul Motor Show, introducing notable design enhancements and a new N Line variant.

Exterior Design Updates

The refreshed Ioniq 6 showcases a sleeker front end inspired by Hyundai’s RN22e concept. Key changes include:

  • Slimmer headlamps with a pixel motif, akin to the Ioniq 9 SUV.
  • A revised bumper featuring a new front splitter to enhance aerodynamics.
  • A subtly raised bonnet for a more assertive stance.

In profile, the vehicle sports redesigned alloy wheels and updated rearview cameras. The side skirts now have a black finish, adding to the car’s dynamic appearance. At the rear, the prominent ducktail spoiler has been replaced with a more understated extended boot lip, complemented by chrome accents on the bumper.

Introduction of the N Line Variant

For the first time, the Ioniq 6 is available in an N Line trim, emphasizing sportier aesthetics:

  • A more aggressive front bumper adorned with N Line badging.
  • Exclusive alloy wheel designs.
  • Additional blacked-out body elements enhancing its athletic appeal.

While the N Line focuses on visual enhancements, it sets the stage for a high-performance Ioniq 6 N, anticipated to debut later this year.

Interior Refinements

Inside, the Ioniq 6 receives subtle yet impactful updates:

  • A new three-spoke steering wheel replacing the previous design.
  • Reorganized center console controls for improved user experience.
  • An enlarged display for the dual-zone climate control system.
  • Enhanced door trims featuring premium materials.

The cabin retains its dual 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation, ambient lighting, and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities.

Powertrain and Performance

Mechanically, the facelifted Ioniq 6 remains consistent with its predecessor:

  • Battery Options: Available with 53kWh and 77.4kWh battery packs.
  • Drivetrain Configurations:
  • Single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD).
  • Dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD).
  • Performance:
  • The dual-motor AWD variant delivers up to 321hp.
  • The RWD version with the 77.4kWh battery offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 614km on a single charge.

These specifications underscore Hyundai’s commitment to offering both performance and efficiency in the electric sedan segment.

The facelifted Ioniq 6, with its design refinements and the addition of the N Line variant, aims to strengthen Hyundai’s position in the evolving electric vehicle market.
