Kawasaki launched 2025 Ninja 650 in India at ₹7.27 lakh

Apr 21, 2025

Kawasaki has launched the 2025 Ninja 650 in India at ₹7.27 lakh (ex-showroom), reflecting a ₹11,000 increase over the previous model. This update introduces a new green livery with white and yellow accents, aligning its aesthetics with the Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-6R. Additionally, the motorcycle now complies with the stricter OBD-2B emission norms effective from April 1, 2025.

Design and Styling

The 2025 Ninja 650 retains its existing design but features a refreshed color scheme. The new green-white-yellow livery enhances its visual appeal, drawing inspiration from Kawasaki’s larger Ninja models. Despite the cosmetic update, the bike continues to sport the older family fascia, unlike the newer designs seen on the Ninja 500 and ZX-6R.

Engine and Performance

Mechanically, the Ninja 650 remains unchanged. It is powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing 68hp at 8,000rpm and 64Nm of torque at 6,400rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle continues to offer features like a TFT color display, LED lighting, Bluetooth connectivity, traction control, riding modes, and dual-channel ABS.

Compliance and Pricing

The update brings the Ninja 650 in line with the OBD-2B emission standards. The price increase to ₹7.27 lakh accounts for the new livery and compliance updates. Previously, the 2024 model was available at ₹7.16 lakh, with some dealers offering discounts up to ₹45,000.

Availability

Bookings for the 2025 Ninja 650 are now open across India. Prospective buyers may still find limited stock of the 2024 model at select dealerships.
