KTM 390 Enduro R India launch on April 11

KTM is set to launch the 390 Enduro R in India on April 11, 2025. This off-road-focused motorcycle shares several components with the latest-generation 390 Adventure but incorporates modifications tailored for the Indian market.
Engine and Performance
The 390 Enduro R is powered by a 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, delivering 46hp and 39Nm of torque, consistent with the outputs of the 390 Duke and 390 Adventure models. The motorcycle utilizes the same main frame and swingarm as the 390 Adventure, ensuring structural integrity and performance.
Suspension and Braking
In the Indian variant, the 390 Enduro R adopts the suspension system from the 390 Adventure, featuring 200mm of travel at the front and 205mm at the rear. This setup results in a seat height of 860mm, reduced from the international model’s 890mm, enhancing accessibility for riders. The ground clearance stands at 253mm, slightly lower than the 272mm seen on the global version. Braking components include a 285mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, with the front disc being smaller than that of the 390 Adventure to suit off-road requirements.
Design and Features
The 390 Enduro R sports a minimalist design with functional bodywork, a compact TFT display, and a 9-liter fuel tank. Weighing in at 177kg, it is approximately 5-6kg lighter than the 390 Adventure models, contributing to its agility in off-road conditions.
Pricing and Competition
Positioned between the 390 Adventure X and the standard 390 Adventure, the 390 Enduro R is expected to be priced accordingly. Its primary competitor in the Indian market will be the Kawasaki KLX230, which is lighter but offers less power.
In summary, the KTM 390 Enduro R is poised to offer Indian riders a capable and accessible off-road motorcycle, blending performance with practical design elements.
