Market Context:
In January 2025, Tata Motors, a key competitor in the EV segment, dispatched 5,240 electric vehicles, including models like the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, and Curvv EV. The Mahindra BE 6 is positioned to compete directly with Tata’s Curvv EV, which is priced between ₹17.49 lakh and ₹21.99 lakh. Meanwhile, the XEV 9e, with its price range of ₹21.90 lakh to ₹30.50 lakh, enters a segment currently occupied by vehicles like the BYD Atto 3 (₹24.99 lakh to ₹33.99 lakh). Additionally, Tata’s upcoming Harrier EV is expected to be a direct competitor upon its release.
With the commencement of bookings and the strategic dispatch of units to dealerships, Mahindra aims to establish a strong foothold in the burgeoning electric SUV market in India.
