MG Majestor SUV revealed at Auto Expo 2025

At the Auto Expo 2025, MG Motor India unveiled the Majestor, a facelifted version of the Gloster SUV, now positioned above the existing model in the lineup. The Majestor showcases significant design enhancements, interior upgrades, and a robust powertrain, aiming to strengthen MG’s presence in the full-size SUV segment.

Design and Exterior
The MG Majestor adopts a more commanding and aggressive design compared to its predecessor. The front fascia features a prominent blacked-out grille with horizontal slats, accompanied by a larger MG emblem. A split headlight configuration includes sleek LED daytime running lights positioned above vertically aligned headlights. The SUV’s muscular appeal is further accentuated by a silver bash plate and continuous black cladding along its length. The side profile reveals 19-inch diamond-cut, five-spoke alloy wheels and a chrome-finished running board, while the rear is highlighted by wraparound connected tail-lights and a redesigned bumper with dual exhaust outlets.

Interior and Features
While the showcased model had tinted windows, limiting interior visibility, previous spy shots indicate that the Majestor’s cabin has undergone significant updates. Anticipated features include a free-standing 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, an all-digital instrument cluster with customizable interfaces, and an all-black interior theme. Building upon the Gloster’s amenities—such as a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats with massage functions, three-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, a 12-speaker audio system, and an electric tailgate—the Majestor is expected to offer an enhanced suite of comfort and convenience features.

Performance and Powertrain
Under the hood, the MG Majestor is likely to house the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine found in higher variants of the Gloster, delivering 216 horsepower and 479 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, transmitting power to the rear wheels, with an optional 4×4 drivetrain expected to be available for enhanced off-road capabilities.
Pricing and Market Positioning
With the current MG Gloster priced between ₹39.57 lakh and ₹44.03 lakh (ex-showroom), the Majestor is anticipated to be positioned slightly higher, with prices ranging from approximately ₹40 lakh to ₹45 lakh. This strategic positioning aims to offer customers a more premium alternative within MG’s SUV lineup.
