Tata Avinya X concept debuts at Auto Expo 2025
At the Auto Expo 2025, Tata Motors unveiled the Avinya X concept, marking a significant step in their electric vehicle (EV) strategy. This concept is poised to be the inaugural model in Tata’s premium EV lineup, with a market launch anticipated in 2026.
Design and Features
The Avinya X showcases a striking coupe-SUV design, distinct from the earlier wagon-like concept introduced in 2022. It features a high ground clearance, sharply raked front and rear windscreens, and smooth yet muscular body panels. A standout design element is the expanded ‘T’ logo at both the front and rear, serving as an LED lighting signature. The front and rear fascias maintain a clean aesthetic, complemented by gloss black finishes on the bumpers.
Additional design highlights include slim horizontal daytime running lamps with Matrix technology on the bumper edges, enhancing nighttime visibility. The coupe-like silhouette, contrasting C-pillar finish, and large dual-tone wheels contribute to its dynamic appearance. Active-aero elements are also incorporated to improve efficiency.
Interior and Technology
Inside, the Avinya X adopts a minimalist and futuristic approach. It features a new two-spoke steering wheel with a prominent center boss and a floating central infotainment screen reminiscent of the one in the Range Rover SUV. A slim screen band spans the dashboard, serving instrumentation duties. The dashboard boasts a dual-tone finish with concealed AC vents, and the concept car is presented with a lounge-like four-seater layout. Sustainable materials are utilized throughout the interior, aligning with eco-friendly principles.
Expected features in the production model include vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) capabilities, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, multi-zone automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, and an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) suite.
