Porsche India has expanded its Taycan lineup by introducing a new rear-wheel-drive (RWD) base variant, priced at ₹1.67 crore (ex-showroom). This addition makes the Taycan approximately ₹24 lakh more affordable than the previous entry-level model.
Performance and Range
The Taycan RWD is equipped with an 89 kWh battery pack powering a single electric motor that delivers 408 PS and 410 Nm of torque. This setup enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and offers a WLTP-claimed range of up to 590 km. For charging, it supports 270 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. Using the standard 11 kW AC charger, a full charge takes approximately 9 hours.
Design and Features
The Taycan RWD retains the sleek design introduced with the recent facelift, featuring updated LED headlights and a streamlined front fascia. The rear showcases a refreshed bumper and an updated signature LED light strip. Customization options include exclusive paint choices and 22-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the Taycan RWD boasts a modern dashboard with a triple-screen setup. Standard features include a 16.8-inch digital driver’s display and a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, with an optional additional 10.9-inch touchscreen for the front passenger. The cabin offers various upholstery options, including both leather and leather-free materials, with the standard interior featuring an all-black theme. Comfort is enhanced by 14-way power-adjustable front seats (upgradeable to 18-way), seat ventilation, a four-zone climate control system, and ambient lighting. Audio experiences can be elevated with optional 14-speaker Bose or 21-speaker Burmester sound systems.

Safety features encompass multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a reverse parking camera (upgradeable to a 360-degree setup), front and rear parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
