Land Rover has launched the new top-of-the-line variant of the Range Rover Evoque in India—the Autobiography edition—at an ex-showroom price of ₹69.50 lakh. This version replaces the earlier Dynamic SE trim, bringing with it several enhancements in luxury, features, and styling.
Engine and Drivetrain
The Evoque Autobiography retains the same engine choices as its predecessor:
- 2.0-litre turbo-petrol: Produces 250hp and 365Nm of torque.
- 2.0-litre diesel: Offers 204hp and 430Nm of torque.
Both engines come equipped with mild-hybrid technology. They are paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and include all-wheel drive as standard.
Premium Features and Equipment
The Autobiography trim offers several upgrades over the outgoing model:
- Panoramic Sunroof: Comes with a sliding feature to increase cabin light and ventilation.
- Meridian Sound System: Includes 14 speakers, a subwoofer, and 650W output for high-end audio quality.
- Luxury Interior: Features extended leather trim on the dashboard and doors, available in “Cloud” or “Ebony” Windsor leather seat options.
- Advanced Comfort: Includes a suede-finished roof liner and electronically adjustable steering.
- Exterior Enhancements: Features exclusive copper-colored Range Rover badging and advanced Pixel LED headlights with signature daytime running lights.
Price and Competition
The new Autobiography version is priced ₹1.6 lakh higher than the previous Dynamic SE model. Despite the price bump, it remains competitive in the luxury midsize SUV segment, going up against models like:
- Audi Q5 (₹66.99–73.79 lakh)
- Mercedes-Benz GLC (₹76.80–77.80 lakh)
- BMW X3 (₹75.80–77.80 lakh)
- Volvo XC60 (₹69.90 lakh)
