Skoda Vision 7S India launch in 2027
Skoda is set to introduce the production version of its Vision 7S concept in India by 2027. This upcoming three-row electric SUV, potentially named the Skoda Space, is anticipated to commence production globally in 2026. Recently, a camouflaged test vehicle was spotted undergoing trials in Sweden.
Design and Dimensions
The Vision 7S concept, first unveiled in 2022, marks the debut of Skoda’s ‘Modern Solid’ design language. The prototype features flush door handles and retains the concept’s elongated, sloping roofline. However, certain design elements, such as the pronounced door sills, have been subdued in the prototype, resulting in a more streamlined appearance. Measuring approximately 4.9 meters in length, this SUV surpasses the Enyaq by about 250mm, positioning it as Skoda’s largest electric SUV to date.
Interior and Features
While the interior of the prototype remains under wraps, the original concept showcased an oval-shaped steering wheel and a minimalist dashboard devoid of buttons. A standout feature is the large rotatable touchscreen, capable of switching between portrait and landscape orientations, akin to systems found in BYD vehicles. The concept was configured as a four-seater, but the production model is expected to offer both five- and seven-seater layouts. Additionally, the use of sustainable materials, such as leather-free upholstery, in the concept may be carried over to the final production version.
Battery and Performance
The Vision 7S concept is equipped with an 89kWh battery pack, boasting a claimed WLTP range of over 600 kilometers. Skoda asserts that the production model will support fast charging capabilities of up to 200kW. While specific powertrain details are yet to be disclosed, it is anticipated that the SUV will be available in both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations, with performance metrics comparable to the upcoming Enyaq facelift.
The Vision 7S concept was recently showcased at the Auto Expo 2025, highlighting Skoda’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle lineup and introducing innovative design elements in its future models.
