BYD Sealion 7 launched at Rs 48.9 lakh

BYD, the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has expanded its Indian lineup with the introduction of the Sealion 7, a premium electric SUV. This model, sharing design elements with the BYD Seal sedan, offers a distinct cabin layout and is available in two trims: Premium and Performance.

Premium: Priced at Rs 48.90 lakh
Performance: Priced at Rs 54.90 lakh

Design:

The Sealion 7 features a sleek and aerodynamic design. The front fascia, reminiscent of the BYD Seal sedan, includes LED headlights and daytime running lights (DRLs). The sporty appearance is enhanced by an aggressively styled bumper and sharp lines on the bonnet. Side profiles showcase flush door handles and alloy wheels—19-inch for the Premium variant and 20-inch for the Performance variant. The rear is highlighted by connected LED tail lights, continuing the design language seen in the Seal sedan.

Interior and Features:

Inside, the Sealion 7 offers a black-themed cabin with a glossy black dashboard and a four-spoke steering wheel. Seating surfaces, the steering wheel, and armrests are upholstered in black leatherette. Key features include a 15.6-inch rotating infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, electric sunshades, a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, and multi-color ambient lighting. Additional amenities encompass a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system, an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support and memory function, a 6-way electrically adjustable co-driver’s seat, a powered tailgate, and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities.

Safety:

Safety is prioritized with 11 airbags, a 360-degree camera system, a tire pressure monitoring system, rain-sensing wipers, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
