
VinFast VF3 Confirmed For India Launch!

Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast has officially announced its entry into the Indian market with a strategic rollout plan. The company will debut with the VF7 electric SUV, followed by the VF6 around Diwali 2025. The VF3, a compact micro SUV tailored for urban mobility, is slated for a 2026 launch.

VinFast VF3: Urban-Focused Design
The VF3 boasts a boxy yet contemporary design, featuring black cladding around the wheel arches, elevated ground clearance, and minimal overhangs, suggesting a rugged demeanor suitable for city environments.

Interior and Technology
Inside, the VF3 offers a minimalist layout equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen that serves both as the infotainment system and instrument cluster. It accommodates four passengers and provides a 285-liter boot space, which can be expanded by folding the rear seats.


Performance and Charging
- Motor: Rear-wheel drive producing 40 PS and 110 Nm of torque.
- Battery: 18.64 kWh capacity.
- Range: A claimed 215 km on a full charge.
- Fast Charging: Capable of charging from 10% to 70% in 36 minutes.
Manufacturing and Localization
VinFast plans to establish a manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu to assemble Completely Knocked Down (CKD) units. The VF3 will undergo significant localization to ensure cost competitiveness in India’s price-sensitive market.
Anticipated Pricing and Competition
While official pricing remains undisclosed, the VF3 is expected to be priced around ₹10 lakh, positioning it as an appealing option in the budget EV segment. Upon its launch, it will compete with models like the MG Comet and the Vayve Eva.
